Boston Buying Power was created by Mayor Menino and the Office of Economic Development, to assist local businesses to reduce utility costs and consumption. With the market flooded by suppliers, utilities, consultants and brokers, how is one able to make the right choice at the right time?

BBP enrolls your neighborhood's businesses to create citywide purchasing power. The aggregations include restaurants, dry cleaners, storefronts, night clubs and apartment complexes, as well as major biotech firms, governmental entities, colleges and healthcare facilities. This program has been created to benefit all types and sizes of energy consumer.

The results have been millions in savings for the businesses of Boston. To learn more about our process, please click above…

our auctions

Once the aggregations are designed, Taylor interacts with all the qualified deregulated suppliers in a region which could ably serve the portfolio. This due diligence process preps all of the suppliers to participate in EnergyAuctions.

The auction is an online, transparent and auditable platform where suppliers compete for the overall Buying Power load. Suppliers bid down the pricing, not being able to see the other supplier's name, but only seeing the lowest pricing. In the last five minutes, the auction bidding goes dark to the suppliers and they are all encouraged to get to their lowest and final bid. This process has been proven to produce significant reductions to standard pricing options.

By competing the marketplace, Taylor does not sole source any deals and is always evaluating options for reliable and inexpensive energy.
